My final project is composed in After Effects including video elements shot in a studio with the back grounds keyed out. Colorful clips are multiplied, speed ramped, and distorted with Optics Compensation and stretched with the After Effects camera angle to create a more dynamic image.
I liked your presentation today, it was interesting to learn how to morph photos together to look more smooth. I am nervous to try after effects because I feel like I can accomplish everything I need to in final cut besides smoothing out the transitions. I am going to look back at the tutorial you showed and try out the morphing thing though... I have always wanted to learn how to do that!
ReplyDeleteI am excited to see your final project, it seems like you went through a lot of ideas to get to the final piece... looking forward to your final decision.
I'm always curious to see what you will present next to class. You really know some cool editing tricks on After Effects and have a really nice camera. I would have never thought to make the image size that big and zoom in and still get the same quality. Your presentation actually inspired me for a video I might make in the future.
ReplyDeleteSo are you doing still lifes under a "green screen"? Sounds like an interesting technique. I agree with Brandon, you definitely have a lot of techniques to show us that are interesting. Thanks for showing the video yesterday on how to pan! I am going to try it out with maybe some drawings or with celloid film in the future!
ReplyDeleteThanks again for giving the presentation on the morphing effect, I've had a lot of time laps material that i didn't quite shoot enough frames in that i can no play with still exporting to video.
ReplyDeletewell considering that you've been able to produce some pretty cool stuff before, reading a description of your final that has me wondering what in the world its going to be is quite a good thing.
